"Don't despair: despair suggests you are in total control and know what is coming. You don't – surrender to events with hope." – Alain de Botton

    A Little CEL 5D+:
Criterion 5: Fostering and managing a safe, positive learning environment.
    CEC5 Norms for learning

Classroom norms are evident and result in patterns of interaction that encourage risk-taking, collaboration, respect for divergent thinking, and students’ and students’ cultures. Cultures, thinking, and students’ cultures. Students self-monitor or remind one another of the norms.

    A Little Humor:

-I got an A on my origami assignment when I turned in my paper to my teacher.
-How many stormtroopers does it take to change a lightbulb? None because they are all on the dark side.
-If your house is cold, stand in the corner. It’s always 90 degrees there.
-Hi, I’m Cliff. Drop over some time.

-In the Beginning, there was nothing. Then Chuck Norris roundhouse kicked nothing and told it to get a job.

Ron Gutman reviews a raft of studies about smiling and reveals some surprising results. Did you know your smile can be a predictor of how long you'll live -- and that a simple smile has a measurable effect on your overall well-being? As you learn more about this evolutionarily contagious behavior, prepare to flex a few facial muscles.
