Mrs. Ringer's Fourth & Fifth Grade Class

Welcome to Mrs. Ringer's Third & Fourth Grade Class.

     Hello, my name is Kristen Kornegay Ringer. I have been teaching here at Wishram School District #94 for about 25 years.  I was born and raised in The Dalles, Oregon, and graduated from The Dalles High School in 1988. In the summer of 1993, I graduated from Central Washington University with a degree in K-9 Elementary Education and a second degree in Special Education.

     I first came to Wishram School in the 1994-1995 school year, after completing a very busy year of substituting teaching and having my first son, Avery, and started my career as a Preschool Teacher.  The following year, I added Kindergarten to my list of duties and welcomed my second son, Clayton, to the world. Five years later, a Kindergarten-12th grade Special Education Teacher was added to my duties, as well.

     After my ninth year of teaching, the third and fourth-grade positions opened up, and I jumped at the chance to fill the position.  These are my “heart grades”. That means these are the grade levels I have always wanted to teach. Sixteen years later, I am still teaching that same class with passion and love!

     My boys are all grown now and have lives of their own, and all my “kids” here at Wishram School fill my time and my life, and I am never truly bored. I also enjoy gardening, my dog Olive, and Art!

Some additional duties I have at Wishram School are as follows:

High School Fine Arts Teacher,  REACH Before School & After School Site-Coordinator, Prom Advisor, Graduation Advisor/Decorator, Cultural Exchange, Haunted House, and Winter Program.
